perfect blush
across her body,
at first glance
rubble, her surroundings.
she claims her fate,
flourished in yesterday’s lush
and settled where she lay.
map of her journey
located only
on delicate fair skin,
in hot pink scars,
and yet, somehow,
you find her
audacious.

The Normal Story of Us

Are opposites attracted,
As those before us would say,
or can two identical souls
make it work in the most
beautiful of ways
to end up in love,
Once their pain has washed away,
To possibly meet,
Another time, another place.

My

if it were permitted: a luxury of my own doing
I would escort you
into my womb
allow you to discern upon
where you so expertly travel
point to where you linger
taking ownership
of my most sacred bounds
What She Sees

there’s a picture inside her,
her mind, really
an arm gathering her close
a chuckle and nod,
seen outside the corner
of her hazel eye.
mature trees outline
what is before them
sounds of babbling water
fill her head,
smells of lilac
purple, not white
adorn her radiant skin
as the sun’s final kiss
winks just then.
barefoot beauty,
bit of dust upon her toes
boots next to hers
days work shows,
smells of the day
draw her in…
focus takes over
and she’s back
in her office again
If Only I Wait

Grass blades reach towards me
Rain covers my skin
Summer allows for nature’s plea
And finally I’m with him again
Fear

sitting in the valley
of what might be
for the first time,
suffocating
That Moment
Make sure she allows eye contact, it will show trust.
She’ll want to touch you, she ought to lightly brush your chest.
Her hand should want to stop, lingering as she feels your heartbeat.
Maybe her fingers will tap in rhythm.
If it’s her eyes you see, make sure she sees yours completely.
When she leans in to kiss you goodnight, think. This moment. Is she who you’ve waited to see?
One Who Heals
Retreat
The Wait

I read of poets past
with infinite belief
moments come upon us,
often urging we repeat:
Confusion
Regrets
Joys
Happenings,
lessons learned from life,
retold by she, him and them,
possibly, even me.
Asked to compose again,
so that maybe this time
experience will prove, we feel.
If,
probably,
what occurs,
this time,
just isn’t chance
but a path, prepared,
for us.

Where did you go
The deep hum, of your voice
Followed me in, but didn’t
Retreat along side of me
When I fled. My expectation
Wasn’t fair, I know.
The work is hard,
Battle even more so.
Are you still fighting,
Does the war continue,
Did strength
Defeat in there?
Soft hands still covering
Fragile heart. Fate leads
a Warrior. Love will win.
Strong.
