Angelic whispers,
Sighs liberate easily.
Eager in virgin white,
Unnoticed, yet pleasing.
Tending to shy away normally,
Now, appears in thoughtful view.
Her offering, securely joined,
By slender, blushing, pink hues.
Sheer delicate petals, enjoyed,
Thumb prints, as if touched by you.

Care
Light
Clearly anxious, misinformed, she,
Caught up in believing half truths.
Effortless care, still a mystery,
Darling, then along came you.
A path you provided, as her lead,
Encouraged life bright from blue.
A lady, now reborn and finally free,
Adorning light from shadowy hue.
Observing strength, submitting,
From your power, her soul drew.
Radiant eyes beaming belief,
I look in the mirror, I see you.
Choices (Haibun)
Change of plans occur
Let’s go the wrong direction
Leading me to you
And then sometimes life happens and we take another direction.
Definitely not the path you or I would’ve chosen, had we been given the option, but life changing paths exist, as well, and we have to figure out how to survive them.
We can choose to accept fate, brave destiny with strength, or we can decide to hide and wish the dreadful path away.
It doesn’t change anything, I’ve realized. In my opinion, hiding and wishing something away never looked good on anyone.
Most importantly, not on me, so here I sit. Staring into destiny. Pay no mind to the tears in my eyes. Chose to be brave with me today, please.
On we go…
Absence
Coo
He’s Waiting
Vibrant
Bathing In You
All Along
I’ve felt you in my life
Whispered callings I ignored
My past has carried you in my heart
Pocket sized, along sandy shores
Present, and low voiced, there, too
Wooded wisps tending to folklore
Surround, comfort and continue
Our souls connecting without a clue
Continuation of plans, a need explored
Unforced, reveals a vibrant hue
Sighing, as I unfold tomorrow
How do I begin to explain you
Just Starting Out
At Home In Houston
News from Houston, while you patiently wait, has arrived, my friends.
1. I am alive.
2. The flood waters, as of this morning, are not near my home. Other parts of Houston are terribly flooded.
3. We haven’t seen flood waters like this in 500 years. Hurricane season begins June 1st. God help us if these past few months are any indication of what is to come.

Whisperings
My mind, what will I do?
He’s all I think about,
And nothing I had planned.
He’s water glossing over my skin,
And the comfort of the wind.
The smell of summer,
Yet, cool mountain air.
Allow him my heart,
I sigh, do I even dare?
He’s the sound of bullfrogs,
Late at night, while I dream.
Perfect words and lovely pitch,
And he whispers just for me.
