without his comfort
void of true morning air
lacking brilliance, I believe
especially, when he’s not there
wait upon contentment
thrive within the verse
know he’s in the shadows
and life could be so much worse
Absence is a theme in a Hellenistic Jewish Philosopher from Asia Minor who I follow closely. He wrote two letters to a church in Corinth in the early first century. In the second of the two, absence (and what it means) is a big theme. I like wrestling with absence.
Such a lovely piece of writing, Audrey. It is very clear to me, for I tend to read between the lines and backwards. Have a wonderful evening. Raining here
You are my prize student, Mr. Jay!!!!!! How did you get this? I’ve written a few of these in the past. *wow’d* You amaze me. Thanks for reading my words and seeing all. You made a connection. Not raining here…finally.
Love it. And I think you’re talking about the sun…in a way. See, he’s not there, and now the storms are moving in, which is so vexing, it’s an interest.
I’m not 100% sure what this one means, my friend, but ’tis quite sad overall. If that’s the emotion you were trying to capture, well, you’ve succeeded!
It’sput up beautifully audrey
