Not your fault, you couldn’t ever understand my uncertainty.

Not your fault, when often I’m distant or confused,

Not your fault, my conversation skills.

Not your fault, I’m used to my own silence

Not your fault, I can’t process receiving concern

Not your fault, I discipline myself

Not your fault, I come from two parents who were lost

Not your fault, I need so much

  1. Beautiful and honest, Audrey. We are so quick to point fingers at ourselves. But self compassion is so important, to treat ourselves just as we would treat others who we love dearly. You are truly deserving. Sending hugs, my friend…


    • We’re all different, my friend, and I keep forgetting that not everyone enjoys a good word-battle every now and then (must be the “fighting Irish” in me!) Stay true to yourself and know how special you are!!


  2. I really, really like this!!! I always feel like this when I am in arguments, because I always seemed to get accused of turning everything around, and it’s everyone else’s fault – but I don’t do that. It’s a weak strategy on the other person’s part for trying to take all blame off themselves. Maybe, it’s a redhead thing.
