A question that most of us ask ourselves at certain times in our lives. (At least I certainly have.) Thank you for putting it into such eloquent words, Audrey. β€οΈ
It is and was a relevant response, Ben. Incredibly so, actually. It is nice to know where my head goes others have also been. There is comfort in having you share your poetry. I thank you ever so.
OH! I love your writing!

This packs a punch and its brevity is telling. For this reader, a little frightening but so so well delivered.

SHORE THING
Wary of recklessness
In thrall to fear of risk
Unwilling to abandon
The certainty of shore
Unsure of uncertainty
One will not travel far

Beautiful! I’ve never seen a sunflower bud, I guess. Thank you for showing it to me. Perhaps we’re all a bit afraid of being left behind?
