your glow is more of a tone
and upon me
your hold is mounting.
I shiver as you enter,
your rumble a possession
of what my soul is lacking
and I beg you, come.
As the cardinal calls, ” Here. Here. Here.” Over and over again until I stop and look up into the tree and we connect.
This I get and the pleasure is indescribable.

Those beautiful connections with nature ~ and such a regal redhead as a cardinal to match, what a great feeling you write about: “your rumble a possession, of what my soul is lacking, and I beg you, come.” We all beg you to come back and write again soon π
Take care, Aud, and hope the coming autumn will be a great one for you.

Randall, your return and most quizzical brow has me blushing. Who am I to have you, a man of the world checking in on me? I most humbly run at you for a warm embrace (and most likely trip and fall π). You are a treasure. Thank you for being a friend and dedicated reader of my poetry.
I shall do my very best to make you proud and write here again. I do miss poetry and the joy sharing it brings. Finding my muse is half the battle as they say.

Ha, the best embraces are the ones where one trips and falls π Great to read you again, and good to hear that although busy, you are still writing ~ and writing well π

I’ve got TWO mama robins nesting where the downspouts meet the house, Audrey — it’s going to be magical when the babies arrive! Glad you’re finding some of nature’s beauty over your way.

Today, I saw a cardinal, neon yellow finch and a bluejay. What a day. Thanks, Dan.

The cardinal was adorable in his calling this morning, but the rumble of a Springtime thunderstorm really did a number on me. Thanks, John.
