Amidst the clutter
Of my mind
I recognize who and what I love.
Clinging to primitive, and desire,
I retreat
Into wooded respite
As I normally do.
Surviving reality
A conscious decision every day, yet
Eventually every tree will fall.
How do I listen for one more?
Enjoyed this piece, Audrey D. I find it can be hard to hear over the noise of my chainsaw. π

Definitely, I find chainsaw pruning is a great way to alleviate stress. Admittedly I overdo it sometimes. πΈ

Beautiful words, Audrey, and “surviving reality” is sometimes all we can do. But then it gets easier and we find that we can do more than just survive, which brings joy. This is what stood out for me. π π

Everything changes, Audrey. Maybe we grieve, maybe we don’t even notice, but we move on because we must. There is strength in those steps.
This tiny flower is just my style. Thank you for a lovely Sunday image and a touching poem.

What is this beauty? ‘Tis such a delicate color. As for retreating, well, sometimes the world becomes too much for creative types, and we need to get off by ourselves. I totally get that!
