Worlds Apart
I won’t compare
myself.
Ever. The
intriguing stare
she provided
offered
a moment together,
and it
dribbled down
your chin. A
true indication
of your desire
for what she had
to offer. My eyes
casted down,
was something else
entirely.
Golden Equinox
Inevitable
Accepting free fall decent
Holy spirit move
Simple Things
twilight sprinkling
narrow branches strengthen view
simply romantic
Crush
woke to wonderment
soft bite to my lower lip
hazel eyes aglow
Looking Back
daylight cruises
toward nightfall
and I remember when.
Bon Jovi sang
it isn’t hearts breaking even,
which is why, I still delight
in all that was genuine.
I know my decision
wasn’t
needing
you to feel a similar pain,
I’d just finally decided
we were too young to die
this way.
Devoted Missive
might we always
connect upon
the best of a hickory branch.
touch with the ease,
of leaves to a gentle breeze,
and focus on the depths
within each.
for my intense reaction
speaks
to you
and you love how it looks
on me.
Reflective
Content in myself
Watching those thrive around me
Joy of fulfillment
My Confession
T’was not work
Creating you,
Inside my mind.
I felt you arrive,
Every. Single. Time.
Me, creative soul
Turned prima dona, maybe.
Mostly, a simple woman.
You laid upon my heart
With your words.
Not for me, you insisted,
But I took them as my own
Because without them
I was still ordinarily alone.
More than anything,
I didn’t want to be.
A shame,
For I am audacious,
Clearly seeing
Myself now
And I love me.
Z – Zephyr
I own a purpose
Within this life
I feel deepest when
My sonant sings.
Winds have howled,
My thoughts often left
Rationalized. What
Will tomorrow bring…
West winds reappear,
Command again,
I’m humbly listening.
Refuse the darkness when
It offers. Watch time take
What belongs to my soul,
And place it faithfully
Upon my willing shoulders.
I’ll continue to carry
my essence,
And give flight to the
Zephyr inside of me.

All dreams possible
They say, work harder
Offer no time delay.
We shall not walk, nor
Stroll the hallways,
But run,
Life is meaningless
Unless you
Profit.
Call bullshit, and crawl.
Cover the obvious mistakes
With their grace.
Stomp the ground below
And never forget to smile.
X – Xyst
drag me through
verdant covered angles
with
leaves thriving, cascading.
allow blossoms to reach
my nose. Inhale the beauty
as life is exposed. Take
me back to where
happiness found me.
guide
my spiritual growth;
renew.
V – Value
Kindred, was.
I’ve witnessed, and felt
Which means exists,
Was it you and I
Or he with she, or
Maybe all those moments
Which are,
That will never be, yet
Continue
Living so deeply inside
My soul. Me and you,
Were, yet
Are: relevant,
Not past tense; was.
You and I: am.
Kindred, soulmates,
And you feel it, too.
U- Ultimately
Eastern traveling breeze
Flows with essence,
Picks up my aura, seductive
And passes out my window,
As my desire for you
Remains. Autumn
Teases with frosted sunshine
Allowing for a clear and
crisp prelude, Muse.
What once was,
Is now History,
And you belong
With me.
R – Ready
nourish my soul
with breathing, quickened
grab at my skin
pinch, to believe in
gather red hair
each pull, strengthens
my belief in feeling,
this: Dawn Awakening
N – Nuance
There’s nothing I said
I didn’t mean
Meant it, from my heart
From the deepest part of me
M – Meander
Thinking
I
Was
The
Right
One.
Passionate
Flight,
I
Became
So
Lost.
Pathetic
Mindset,
Destroyed
My
Courage.
Proof
Obtained,
Life
Moved
On.
I – Indistinct
Laughter is missing
Another rusting leaf falls
Sounds echo
And duty calls.
A season
Such as this
Requires tolerance
And will move on
H – Honesty
She was
The sound
Of his exhale,
While she prayed
To be the breath
He desired.
