The essence of the poem was realize how great “you” are and settle for nothing short of just what you deserve. I really believe people lack the esteem to realize how great a person they are.
Then I messed with them poem and took it into a different level. Almost mocking which is unlike me. Shows my disappointment at the time I was writing. I’m not one for sarcasm ever, and this turned into one of those…wake up and look around people poems. Maybe it’s the perverbial snap out of it I needed. Sometimes the poetry I write surprises me. Hope you didn’t hurt your head trying to figure this out. Anymore, my blog should come with a warning label.

I found it beautiful and thought provoking. Some things you read just stick with you I suppose.
One of my greatest is watching the Devil get people distracted, getting their eye off of what matters and what they should see or pay attention to.
