flush, is her flower
timid, yet she’ll grow.
ruddy, her spirit,
and you adore
how it’s shown.
innocence is her
mind’s essence,
full beauty yet to be shown.

Beautiful words and lovely image to pair with them, Audrey. πΌπ·

I wasn’t so sure of the photo. To me it’s a bit blurry for starters…but the more I looked at it the more natural it seemed for whatever reason. I sorta fit my message. Thank you for supporting my thoughts, Betty. β‘

Oh, no…not even close. However, my daisies are pushing through a smidge. This flower is a Texan. I miss the tropical beauties that inspired me. Found this one and felt compelled to share her. Spring has to arrive eventually.

Late summer, but a few summers ago in Texas. Not certain they would grow as beautifully here in the midwest. Come on spring…

Glad you enjoyed this poem, Dan. Simple one, for sure, but I do love the essence it provides.

That’s the thing about (good) poetry. It says so much without a lot of words.
