The melody in my head,
Plays to the essence of you.
Proving you’re my cherished notes,
A possible dream come true.
The invitation of a sparrow,
Sat near my window,
Chirps your classic tune.
Does she sense you, too?
Her wings far more radiant,
Born with an ability to fluently lift you,
Perhaps, leaving me fully aware,
My love, flying with her is inevitable.
Like Staci Lys, I love the music in this poem! Beautiful, tuneful poem… have a nice week dear Audrey, take care! ♥

Thank you, Staci. Love sings a strange tune, and when one realizes we need to step aside, then we do. Hugs. xx

Audrey, tender, loving words but not in the least silly or mushy – this work is poignant and
has a refined resonance. Kudos!

On the wings of a sparrow, your heart, Aud. Lovely words.

If the sparrow is the prize then the sparrow will be the prize. Nothing this poet can do about it. Thanks for entertaining this, Chum.

I love this one. This, Audith, is great poetry. Seriously. You start developing for the 4th line from the beginning, which makes it awesome once it’s read. That might be just garble, but it’s how I see it!

Hi, Duke. Thank you. I don’t know what to say. You’ve left me speechless. I felt inclined to write my feelings. It isn’t easy to write myself so clearly. I appreciate your comment.

Well, you do quite well at it. Is it scary a bit to write your feelings?

Thank you, Duketh. Yes, I would say so, but I can when pushed to do it.
