Here, So Far Away

in observing my nighttime
sky
his description flows through my
mind,
my eyes.
the love he has for
existence
and all of those surrounding
him
encourages my
heart,
even if I’m not the
priority.
does he feel the lifeline
between us,
and the ablity he has to
strengthen.
Twilight, enter me
slowly,
fill my eyes.
Reflect.
Allow the glow created
to sustain
my affection.

Precision

The way you approach
In full confidence
Steady control
Centers me

An ability to sense
Where I’m at emotionally
By simply patrolling
Around me

Knowing you’re near
A presence about you
I cling to automatically
With nothing to fear

As if exploration of my mind
Is what you desire
What sets me apart
And yours to admire

The mastery used
Absolutely nothing to prove
Leaves me yearning
Spinning, as I watch

Fantastic ability surrounds
Every thought, every sound
My body reacts
Easily

Your offer, often powerful
Soothes my soul
Leaves me adored
Until next time

What She Sees

there’s a picture inside her,
her mind, really
an arm gathering her close
a chuckle and nod,
seen outside the corner
of her hazel eye.
mature trees outline
what is before them
sounds of babbling water
fill her head,
smells of lilac
purple, not white
adorn her radiant skin
as the sun’s final kiss
winks just then.
barefoot beauty,
bit of dust upon her toes
boots next to hers
days work shows,
smells of the day
draw her in…
focus takes over
and she’s back
in her office again

That Moment

Make sure she allows eye contact, it will show trust.

She’ll want to touch you, she ought to lightly brush your chest.

Her hand should want to stop, lingering as she feels your heartbeat.

Maybe her fingers will tap in rhythm.

If it’s her eyes you see, make sure she sees yours completely.

When she leans in to kiss you goodnight, think. This moment. Is she who you’ve waited to see?

Day Three…

I’ve always loved Otis Redding. I think Marc does a fantastic job on a timeless plea for love.

The Wait

I read of poets past
with infinite belief
moments come upon us,
often urging we repeat:

Confusion
Regrets
Joys
Happenings,

lessons learned from life,
retold by she, him and them,

possibly, even me.

Asked to compose again,
so that maybe this time
experience will prove, we feel.

If,
probably,
what occurs,
this time,
just isn’t chance
but a path, prepared,
for us.
