This singer surely has a whole lot of soul and ability. A telling version. (And if the word hadn’t been so ravished I might have said awesome. )

I agree, Ben. Nobody has to search for the soul in this one. I’m glad it works for you, Mr. Music. (I used awesome just to spite you… giggle)

Always did love Otis.
There’s a story I could tell involving a 45 of one of his songs, a banana and one of the two women I have the most respect for in this world but it’s too complex (and in essence too personal and too trivial) to relate.
This is definitely a fine choice though.

Love me some Otis, as well. Well, geez way to make me wonder what on earth y’all did with the banana. No. No, I’m no longer wondering. Tell me you made awesome banana splits.. (I’m going to use awesome in every comment to you now. π)
Kidding aside, glad you liked the song.

I will say that we were in a college lecture hall at the time and that no splits were involved.

Loving to imagine your mind racing. Actually no smut was involved either. π But it *is* one of those moment(ary snap)s in time which will accompany me to death or dementia.

Well, that explains a lot. It’s always good to keep a few good stories close to the cuff.

Such soul. I love his voice! A bit reminiscent of Sam Cooke, too. Thanks for sharing!

This is pure soul Audrey. I love the music of Otis Redding and I would recognize his lyrics anywhere.
Marc B. does a wonderful job with this, his voice is perfect.
