This morning’s palest breath
Reminds me, dutifully
I was built to stand alone
Strength binding me with control
My own worst enemy

Stale View
Foggy dawning
The air sufficates
Smells proving perverse
Expressions don’t radiate
Not in the same way
Ceasing reagency
Leaving me empty
With no veracious desire
For your troubled voice
A Morning With Audrey
Good morning, Flat Tire. You have no idea how much I dislike seeing you on a Monday. Tires like you have a way of stopping by at the most inopportune time, however, I thank you for leaving me a little of your air.

Irrational Thinking
Hopeful, above a myriad of emotions,
My devotion towards chasing clouds,
Somehow brings me closer,
To understanding you.
While I wait, with a quiet mind,
Will you explain all the how’s and why’s
Of a universe, in my mind’s eye, gone wild?
Calm the irrational part of my brain,
Then show me that your love,
Isn’t just part of my denial.

Calm Twilight
Poetic thoughts shatter,
Like glass across a sky of azure.
You arrive on bits of final sunshine,
My mysterious muse.
You capture my presence tonight,
And I feel you inside my wistful soul,
As you voluntarily watch me,
Waiting in the calm twilight.

The final line written by, my girl, Morgan. It is no secret that I adore her poetry, so last week when she wrote the line “waiting in the calm twilight” I mentioned being envious, and then there was some banter and a challenge. I’m following through with using her perfect line in my poem tonight, but mine will pale in comparison once you’ve read her Friday Fantasy poem from last week. You’ll see… ♡ Thanks for letting me borrow your words, Morgan.
Whisper Into My Ear
My
Darling,
A magical
Offering of
Attentiveness
My delectation
Even for a fantasy
September’s ending
Or is it just beginning
Wrapped here with you
Trusting in your feathers
Chest against soft breasts
Leaning for conversation
Whispering into my ears
About peace and worry
Relating, so perfectly
Our reactions blush
Soft fleshy quiver
Your smile sighs
Lips closer still
Landing upon
Fairest skin
Delicately
Kissing
A red
Ear
Incessant Desire
I don’t need a happy ending
A knight in shining armor
Isn’t what I seek
I live in daily humor
I don’t need you to rescue me
What I crave incessantly
I mean, what I’m asking,
Quite honestly,
Is for you to force me to feel
Submit to my sensitivity
With vigor found inside you
Write until your heart bleeds
Then, fall into me
