Discovery

Anticipating success,
I’d bring you here,
Sit you down,
Then ask you to relax.
Calmly,
I’d teach,
Your hand,
How to be,
Near me.
Inhaling,
Slowly guiding,
Finger tips,
Towards the place,
I’ve needed,
You to respond to,
And grown tired of,
Waiting for…
Exhaling,
At your touch,
As your fingers,
Slowly weave,
With mine.
Sighing,
Allowing you,
To explore,
My warmth,
By finally,
Holding hands.

Flame

image
I’ve been lookin’ for you
Don’t blame me for lookin’ here

Flames flicker, attacking sensibilities
Dancing around me, yet settling fears
Like staring into your eyes, almost

I’ve been lookin’ for you
Don’t blame me for lookin’ here

Heat surrounding, starting in my chest
Found now below, urging me to let go
Like the touch of your hands, almost

I’ve been lookin’ for you
Don’t blame me for lookin’ here

Glowing ashes, proof of stability
Mesmerized desire, devoted endings
Like your heart admitting love, almost

I’ve been lookin’ for you
Don’t blame me for lookin’ here

Autumn Springs – Verse Four

image

Autumn Springs from Summer’s Flame,
Eternal Passage of Season’s Change,
Dance of Passion’s Lingering Game,
Viridian for Copper, Elemental Exchange.

Primordial instincts embrace epic hues,
Fantasy’s Utopia, view Wisps becoming Brides,
Delphian Fairwell Fairies mimic and muse,
Rousing Shadows and Lovers, crimsons collide.

Pageant of Nighttide, Shimmering Bright,
Secrets Whispered in Primeval Tones,
Gathering Luminous, Spectral Light,
Ethereal Queen Born from muttering crone.

Dauntless Coppice, pursuing nature’s virgin Sprite,
Baptized, Nocturnal King of Twilight’s Beasts,
Queen Dowager awaits Autumn’s marital rites,
Mystic humming, via Motley winds due East.

Trying to repost this as Morgan said she hasn’t seen this come through the reader today… Boo! 😦

*****
This is the fourth verse in a week long Autumn, Halloween, seasonal change, Mystical, light and dark collaboration with Morgan, from http://booknvolume.com/ . Morgan has written verses one and three, as we continue our week long collaboration.

I am thrilled to be writing along side Morgan, as her inspirations capture me daily. One day I find her writing of a fantasy world I can’t even begin to dream of, but would love to visit, and then in the next breath she’s left me a longing mess. I adore her poetry and her heart.

Our verses are off the cuff and inspired by each other, isn’t that lovely?! The image above chosen by Morgan, and I think it is perfect. Please continue to join us this week, as we thrive on working with one another to bring you Autumn Springs.

This is the second installment of a week long Autumn, Halloween, seasonal change, light and dark collaboration with Morgan, from http://booknvolume.com/ if you would like to read her initial post click this right here.

I will reiterate what Morgan explained quite perfectly in her post yesterday. Our collaboration isn’t scripted nor do we have any idea where each other will lead us, so hang on tight.

Calm Twilight

image

Poetic thoughts shatter,
Like glass across a sky of azure.
You arrive on bits of final sunshine,
My mysterious muse.
You capture my presence tonight,
And I feel you inside my wistful soul,
As you voluntarily watch me,
Waiting in the calm twilight.

The final line written by, my girl, Morgan. It is no secret that I adore her poetry, so last week when she wrote the line “waiting in the calm twilight” I mentioned being envious, and then there was some banter and a challenge. I’m following through with using her perfect line in my poem tonight, but mine will pale in comparison once you’ve read her Friday Fantasy poem from last week. You’ll see… ♡ Thanks for letting me borrow your words, Morgan.

Confusion

image

mesmerized by the continuation,
the sound of hasty waves hypnotic.
wearing my favorite blue jeans,
needy hands stuffed into pockets,
I stand at the epilogue,
confused.
frizzy auburn ringlets,
beat at my face,
questioning,
don’t you feel?
water’s cusp lapping at my toes,
trying to sooth my desires,
unsettled by what never was.
yet, I selfishly beg for you daily.
