summertime is what I see
old barn needs some red,
some foolish Gen Z said
my response, “wanna bet!”
leave her alone she’s good as she sits,
what a glorious storytime tone this shade of red is.

Hey Aud, your photo is a feeling of a countryside summer ~ wonderful. And yes, we all need a little red in our lives 🙂 And as with you I can see you and I too think: “leave her alone she’s good as she sits, what a glorious storytime tone this shade of red is.” Wishing you a summer season as brilliantly satisfying as your photo and words 🙂

Yay!!! I must say, this poem strikes me all shades proud. I do love writing poems and surrounding them with simple (yet not simple) photos of everyday life. ♡ Thank you for continuing to encourage my poetry. This space means the world to me. I look forward to being here more as life allows. My very best to you and yours this summer, Sir.

Good ole barn and cut hay in the field. Doesn’t get much better.

I agree, John. Cut hay. I just love seeing it lay there. Beautiful tones of blonde. Much to my surprise this barn stole the show. Giggle.

Thank you, Dan. You have a similar eye in your day. I appreciate you. I went around the block(s) to get this picture. One of those moments I knew I’d regret not grabbing.
