my prayer:
distract me enough
so I pursue your plan for me
Lord, protect him enough
so that he and his heart stay safe.
I need to believe in your will,
I want to believe he’s mine,
as he pulls away.

Very sad. I feel great sadness for you and what your poem says to me. All I can say is the world is very large, and its possibilities are endless. Please explore them all.

Frederick, thank you. Sometimes the distance between me and the world I want isn’t obtainable at first glance. However, it’s important to believe anything is possible with God. Thank you for your concern and reading along. I appreciate it.

A gorgeous poem but so very sad, I think. My heart aches for you, Audrey, as i fear you are aching. Still, even in your sorrow, you wish him safe pursuit of his future. What a compassionate person you are,

All I can do is be myself, Shari. I can’t force anyone to want what I can offer. I want nothing but the best for those I love. I’m not needed, and I had to realize it wasn’t my fault. Whomever he finds to open up to will benefit from his gifts.
Thank you for reading, Shari.

Gosh, what a view!! The poem, however, feels sad and wistful to me. Hope I’m wrong!

Yes, sad, terrifyingly wistful but there is beauty in longing.
I do love Colorado’s views.

WP seems to have started using black hearts instead of red ones. 😦 I’ve managed to get purple ones.

I generally do my commenting from a phone so I have the option to choose the heart. I like the simple heart I normally use as the outline speaks to me. Works for me.
