Rooted underneath pleasantries
Slowly being let in
Knowing what it means
As I sit beneath his limbs
Nestled in closely
My cheek upon his skin
My imagination not willing
To allow me control again
May turning warmer
As afternoons take me within
His presence is trust
Brought to me by the wind
I love this theme you’re doing with nature. It resonates well with me.

All of these tree poems…have you been talking to Tree beard?

I know, I try to space them out so they don’t look so glaringly obvious.
.I’m smitten with trees. Always have been. Who’s Tree Beard? Sounds delightful…

Actually, I misspelled his name. It should be Treebeard.Something Tolkien made up or borrowed. He is an ent.

I thought that’s who he was and I have a light visual of what he looks like. *whispers* I couldn’t get past the trolls singing in the Hobbit. Pathetic, I know. I tried. I really tried. I’m ashamed. I have seen the movies.

Don’t be ashamed. I shall have to pour chocolate syrup with cherry flavor on your hair.
I enjoyed it myself. I read it to my dad, and each of my children. But, my husband doesn’t enjoy it. There are no rules about whether or not one must or not must about any particular story.

….there may be nothing worse than chocolate and cherries combined. I take it back. I do love chocolate. I really like the theme of the book and the imagination is topnotch. I think it has more to do with my intelligence level. I can’t keep up with the fantasy of it all.

Lovely, Jay, if I may… (hope I get this right)
Submitting to what should be
Waiting for nature’s call
Patience is her virtue
She, his after all
This is a beautiful story unfolded. Thanks for reading and helping poetry along. Enjoy your night.

This poem has an undulating rhythm – I can feel the movement of the beloved toward the lover. Sensuous. This one is for the honeymoon.

Why, thank you, Ms. Shari. I was in a relaxed state when I wrote this, however, not nearly as relaxed as that…but it sounds perfect. Just as I’d hoped. Giggle. Yes, indeed a honeymoon. Your mind today, Sister. Makes me laugh. I enjoy your take on this one. xx
