Adventure awaits
Today the island beckons
Walking the quiet beaches
Looking beyond the calms
To a bright new world
Feeling stronger already
In your arms
Dang it! You are so late today. You missed it…
I think I saw pirates. Do you know, this is funny…okay.
Guess what! I was lucky enough to sit next to a man the other day who is Portuguese by birth, and as a teenager moved to South Africa which is where he lived for many years until he moved here about 14 years ago. Now, his name is Constantino ‘Tinni’ and he has a pirate’s earring and wicked accent. He had a vicious laugh, and make wicked eye contact. Do you suppose he may be a pirate, Duke. He was captivating, yet spooky. Twas wishing you had been my escort so you could observe his ways…
You missed the boat, Mark. I left hours ago. Hee hee. Another reason why being late to the party is such sweet sorrow. Not sure, but I may have taken Shakespeare with me or he followed me home.
Lovely writing Audrey. I love it!

I think he could have been a pirate, for sure! Did you slap him? That’s the sure test, right there.

Slap him?? It is…but how? Why? Huh??

Well, if he would have drawn his cutlass…he was a pirate!

Well, he must not have been, because I didn’t see one of those. Maybe he wasn’t wicked after all.

You know, it isn’t very often that one can get me to wheeze before sputtering out laughter. Job well done, Mark!
