Emotions overwhelm me
Watching the sun set together
Our childhood memories remind
Saying good night flows differently
Sitting amongst the strength of siblings

Special Coupling
SPECIAL:
Shining simplicity
Popping pleasantly
Exuding exquisiteness
Cherished couple
Innocent illumination
Always attentive
Longing lovers
These two have something special, I think. Look at the way they pop off the green leaves behind them. Carefree, as if together they understand this crazy world a little better, because they have each other. They almost look to be grasping petals, don’t they? I find peace in believing that these two are holding onto each other, actually. Probably clueless to the idea that everyone wants to live life similarly, choosing to believe everyone already does, and we definitely should be. Two flowers perfectly suited for one another and willing to go through hell as one. Love at its finest, it seems. ♥
All Around Me
Tracking Mobility
Lengthening her grasp on reality
Slowly needing to release control
She pushes herself to walk forward
Will the ends of normal ever meet again
Realizing that everyone is watching
Often feeling they’d love to see her fail
She continues to track her mobility
Will the ends of normal ever meet again
A cheering crowd she doesn’t need
Never a half hearted slap on the back
She’s had a lifetime of accepting that
Will the ends of normal ever meet again
Wavering on the direction of her path
She focuses on an improved horizon
Settling for nothing but an honest effort
Gravitational Mystery
I should be peacefully dreaming,
Instead my mind is easily consumed,
With thoughts of gravitational mystery.

Let’s Go
The beginning of this day,
Overwhelms me.
One more long drive,
Ahead of me.
The final payoff,
Unconditional love.
Up early to fill my lungs,
With cool Oklahoma air,
My mind wonders to you.
Your contagious laugh.
How the magical sound,
Must create a sparkle,
In a beauty’s eyes, without effort.
You make me smile as I reflect,
Easing me into my rewarding day.
You’re beside me as I drive,
Towards home,
All I’ve ever known.
Good morning,
I’m ready,
Let’s go.
Nebraska
Good-bye Texas
I’m driving north
Nebraska bound
Towards a Throwback
Aksarben Vacation
Ready Set Go
Fields of green
Corn growing
Thunderstorms
All welcoming me home
Midwest community
Full of cowboys
Hired hands
Farmers
White collar
Professionals
Many wives and mothers
All the best of friends
Each one
Hardworking
The best of America’s breed
I can’t wait to begin
The transition of feeling
At home and complete
With extended family
Simple redheaded lady
Not much does she need
Just this small town
1, 200 childhood friends
To hug and greet
I’d take you
I think you’d fit in easily
We’ll take nothing too seriously
Over coffee maybe have
Deep conversations
About politics, weather and war
Some of them eyeing you
New person full of strange behaviors
You’d see the beauty
As we walk down main street
Spend evenings by the creek
Bottles of Jim Beam
Laughter
Making memories
I’d show you
Everything
A Moment Ago
“Well, I don’t think you should look at life like that, honestly.”
“How should I look at change then, Darling? Isn’t this view amazing? Think about how wonderful star gazing would be from this spot.”
“I’d rather discuss what you surprised me with a moment ago.”
“You seem rather proud of yourself, Handsome.”
“I’m proud of you, actually. ”
“I was thinking we should buy this place.”
“I agree. Earlier, when you had your hand in my pocket teasing me, I had visions of your naked body right here.”
“Ahh, and now here I am.”
“Yes, isn’t that the strangest coincidence, Love.”
“You always could get me to do anything, you know.”
“Let’s just remember who was naked first, shall we?”
Becoming One
This morning’s first breath is of you
I Close my eyes, you move inside me
Body at attention I long for your touch
Thoughts of unconditional love
Surround my soul allowing me to feel
The moment I begin to desire all of you
Becoming one with myself, I breathe
Bringing you along with me
My heartbeat
Wishing Clouds
My Captain
Wake up, Captain,
Time to see what this,
Ol’ vessel will do.
Take me away,
The sea is calling,
Insisting on a quest.
Pleading, may I go with you?
Our boat’s broken,
I don’t mind.
We’ll fix her quirks,
She’ll shine bright,
Reflecting diamonds in my eyes.
Toss the map overboard,
A destination shows weakness,
We’ll go where the wind pleases.
Somewhere beyond,
These familiar shores,
Time relinquishes its hold.
Allowing us to release control.
Enjoy a voyager’s life,
Void of pressures or fears.
I’ve waited for you long enough,
Captain O’Captain,
Call me your First Mate,
Or if I’m in luck, your Lady.
I’ve proven I’m ready,
I believe in a better life,
This is destiny waiting.
Now fire this Beauty up!
Listen to her cough,
Smoke doesn’t bother me,
No, not at all.
This anxious smile,
All because of you.
Wave good-bye,
Tell them we’ve had fun.
Our adventurous dreams,
Have us fleeing,
Like lovers on the run.
Finding peace,
Beyond what is normal,
Past what makes sense,
Into a life of craziness.
This is our boat,
Her name:
Out Of Control
Or your favorite:
Will This Thing Sink
I giggle and reply,
For you I’d do anything.
Power
Thoughts of how to help him
Rest sublimely inside her mind
Knowing he would only deny her
She’s left fighting with his reasons why
Sweet Dreams
You come and go
Out of this girl’s dreams
Sprinking mystery and longing
Late night shivers of the sweetest kind
Put me back to sleep, I breathe
Important dreams need me
Come quickly
Delicate
You Calm Me
You calm me
You pass through my soul
Like a warm summer wind
Easing me back into color
I’m thankful for where you’ve been
You calm me
Staying by my trembling side
Laughter with my movements
Sparkle in these shy eyes
You could easily be the reason why
You calm me
Take me, I’m yours
Good morning, my love
Come closer, accept my gratitude
I owe you so much more
You calm me
Infatuated kisses await your approving
Release this passion I hold
Longing to feel you wash over me
Thankful that you want me close
You calm me
Grant me the permission I crave
Allow me to calm you
Last night’s wistful dreams
Should be your morning reality
Wrap Me
Wrap me tight
I need to feel you
Whisper that I’m okay
To be lost this way
I know you’ve been here
This same place
Maybe different thoughts
Yet, always same place
Confused
Lost
Full of pressure
Yet, not alone
But all alone
You know?
Smiles on the outside
Tears allowed
Only for me
I could be
A different breed
Women need
Women seek
Advice, daily
Not me
I couldn’t possibly
Show weakness?
Not in front of you
Confusion
Southwest
Growing
Whether intended or not
Pieces lost in battle
She’s found here
Among life’s surplus matter
She continues to twirl
Assimilating to her station
Rock and debris
Fragments
All suit her, strangely
Her beauty appealing
Red and yellow colors shine through
Hues of her personality
This known to be true
Comforted in troubled surroundings
Her artistry finds significance in rubble
See her petals
Call her, Firewheel
A Southwest Señorita
Preferring it hot
Shining inauspiciously in this spot
Deep Intuition
Deep into blue
You know me
I know you
You’re right
You’ve planted a seed
I’ve come willingly
Visions and feelings
Crystal clear images
Consuming our days
Write what I can’t say
Do what you do best
Intuition has a hold
You’re brave
You’re bold
Following your mind
Doing what your told
Show me what you know
I’ll be your flower
Sting me
Make it all go away
I feel the words
They’re on my lips
I can’t force them
I’ve tried
Feel this ache
Pressing inside
You’re in there
God knows why
