you would know I’ve sat within the thrush of nature
my soul is joyous there.
this cool fall evening offers a melody and my mind plunges into creative fidgeting.
my eyes wander from hues of verdant to hints of Autumn’s tangerine,
but it’s the obvious sounds of industry
that bring you closer to me.

I believe I detect a soft melancholy here. Hinted at rather than thrust into our faces.

So grateful you sense me, which I’ve been hopeful for as of late. Wondering if my poetry had changed or if it were I. I prefer to dust around the unknown.

I find letting Her (the Muse) take the lead works best overall.

I’ve always believed this to be true. Waiting the arrival sends my soul searching instead of me allowing for patience. I desire writing like no other.

There is always something about the coming of autumn, the changing of the seasons and weather is always a refreshing jolt, and you’ve penned a perfect line for this: “this cool fall evening offers a melody and my mind plunges into creative fidgeting…” Autumn is a time for creativity, and gets the mind moving. It sounds like you are doing well, and along with all the reds mixed within the autumn colors, this doesn’t surprise me. π

Of course he is — you’re his mama and gave him the roots he needs. But giving him wings is a bit harder on mamas, huh?!!

We are well, Audrey. I love poetry, but it’s hard to comment some times, as poems mean so many things to people. I always enjoy reading your work.
