there – the whisper
calling her name
there is the silence,
no need to explain.
there’s the faith
she felt deep inside
there is the answer,
she knew she’d find.
there – the whisper
calling her name
there is the silence,
no need to explain.
there’s the faith
she felt deep inside
there is the answer,
she knew she’d find.
Faith fades, and then it resurfaces, or at least for me. 🙂 And sometimes, the answers are there all along. Lovely poem, Audrey. ❤

I sense a lot of hope in this one, Miss A. Things might not be ideal right now, but “right now” always passes, and something better can take its place.

The theme of hopefulness seems to be a popular one, Debbie. I find that very interesting. Thank you for reading. Always.

Answers are not always easy to find. Nice.

Very true. I had a lesson in patience today. Sometimes finding answers is easier with someone beside us. Thanks for being near, Butch.

Sometimes we have faith, sometimes, certainty, often both.

Both is ideal, Dan. At least I think so anyway. Affirmation is a huge part of what can calm a heart. Thanks for being here.

So true. It’s being open to the answer, which brings us to an edge we didn’t see coming, it seems.
Thank you for the link, Ivor. I shall be over to see you soon.

I adore you see hopeful and sweet. I read it differently, but that is the beauty of poetry, it seems. It meets us where we are at the time. I sense scared and unsure today, but it’s usually my own doing when those feelings arrive. Thank you, Shari.

A lot of simple trust lies in flicking that switch and all that comes of it.

The switch was flicked, I believe. Trust is important, and a little affirmation along the way helps.

Would help, I think, don’t you?

Not really. It would simply be an additional layer of injury for them. It would remind them of their condition and the futile nature of the act. After hearing it a few times, it would begin to grate their nerves. Far better that it be turned on in silence.

So much for showing them I believed in their ability to overcome. Sigh.
