Stubborn Cowboy

the moment our entire world
shrinks and becomes
every touch you wish had been
possible
and pray it isn’t too late
to reach out for them

I’m off WordPress for awhile to tend to a stubborn cowboy who raised a redheaded woman to go above and beyond his paygrade when required.
Take Care, Y’all.

  1. I’m so sorry your family is having to deal with this, Miss A., but when God permits us to have problems, He sends us a way to handle them. Be very good to yourself, too (no, it’s not selfish; it’s self-care). I’ll send up some prayers for all of you (and I know that stubborn cowboy is grateful to have his red-haired poetess by his side!)

  2. My heart aches for you, your father, and your entire family as you battle this. I know your father is grateful you’re at his side. I’ll be saying Mi Shebeirach, the prayer for healing and strength for all of you: “May the source of strength that blessed the ones before us, help us find the courage to make our lives a blessing, and let us say, Amen. Bless those in need of healing with the spirit of the Holy One. The renewal of body, the renewal of spirit, And let us say, Amen.”
