Returning to what soothes me, Knowing I’ve been there before. Feeling the salty air on my neck, Proves a longing I can’t ignore. Sea captain living with the horizon, Maybe it’s time you come ashore.
Totally agree. The sound of water alone is soothing. You add that to the sight of a lake or ocean or stream, and you’ve got one powerfully relaxing scene.
If it is a beautiful beach…ours here in the Gulf is not always pretty. Yes, I enjoy the calm lifestyle a bit, too. I actually prefer cold weather. Thank you, Staci. π
Oh not me. I’m all for the warmth. I need the sun and warmth. I thrive in it. The best I’ve ever been emotionally is when we were in Jaipur, India for almost three months. Only one day it wasn’t sunny, and it did wonders for the serotonin levels in my brain.
π
Oh, the beaches here are ammmmaaaaaaazing. Oh my goodness, they really are. And the water is not cold at all. You should come visit me here in Brazil. I’d take you to some awesome beaches.
π
Yes, sometimes, but not for about six years. Just four months after moving here I had to evacuate for Hurricane Ike. It was horrible. Those things are slow moving tornados. One never knows what to do…stay or go.
Giggle. I try to keep it clean, crisp white sheets and a few soft pillows. I know you prefer the dark, but it seems you stayed a few days. I need to check my spam folder a little more often, I suppose. Had I known you were there I’d have pulled up a pillow, too.
All that blue looks so very soothing — I’m glad the water and sky (and maybe the clouds) had that effect on you.

Well, it can, Gus, it really can. Thanks for your comment. I like that you enjoy nature, too. Just the sound of water is so soothing, don’t you think?
So glad you’re around again!

Don’t I know it. Lake or stream preferably, for this lady.

Whenever we travel to the beach, I wish we lived there. I love the stillness and tranquility of a beach-like lifestyle.
Wonderful Audrey.
