Whispers in the depth of night
Whites of our eyes shining bright
Lips in movement
Words offer our reality
Conversing in shallow tunes
Touch, leaning into the heat of you
Expressing thoughts; gift to thee
Without fear, fate leads the he and she of our bonding.
Longing for your presence,
The wind, stoic, yet
While I look above me tonight.
A waterfall cascading, offers
A mysterious companionship
from just beyond my sight,
As I consider which luminous star
Was created for me.
Is there an ache
Is there a moment
Is there a need
Is there pain
He, impossible to control
Broadening in stoic strength
Luring her outside; pyre taking hold
Feeling the pursuit of the waves
Moon man, she’ll do what she’s told
Highlight those pearly shades
Illuminate her portal, as your story unfolds
as dusk departs and night arrives,
i’m caught up in a mythological moment,
aphrodite falls for apollo, right before my eyes.
indescribable, I know I’d only blow it,
so I sit back with a defeated laugh.
left wondering, where might I find myself a poet,
who could write of a sunset like that?
Cobalt fades to cerulean
Equidistant appears too far
Lapping water and a beacon
Remind me of where you are
Moonlight path sparkles,
Guiding my hazel eyes,
Evening winter walks,
By the sea’s side.
But, he’s gone again,
Weary is the traveler,
Who stole my heart.
