I become stronger as today comes to an end, as I know you are waiting.
I take time to thank God, our Creator, who designed you to help teach.
I lay in quiet sheets composing your sunrise, as I drift off to sleep.
Tomorrow, your constant knowledge is somewhere deep within me.

this is incredible and beautiful words…just amazing!!
You’re very kind, Mihran. Thank you so much.
Miss Audrey, ’tis all a thing of beauty, but my fav line has to be the very first one. I suspect we all should become stronger every day!
It’s a nice feeling that y’all find a bit of inspiration throughout this poem. Yes, indeed, Ma’am, we should. 🙂
Love your words and their meaning here, Ms. A.
Ben, I’m thrilled you approve. I also enjoy my new nickname, Mr. B. You must know my secondary school English teacher was known as Mr. B. He had a Shakespearean air about him, as well. Smiles
There’s history here. There is already a Miss Audrey in my life, a Romanian friend, so Ms. A is the best I can do to avoid confusion.
However you need to keep the Audreys straight. 🙂

Thank you, Ben ♡
Nice writing. No more than you deserve.
Hopefully the beauty of tomorrow justifies your faith tonight.
Even if it doesn’t, C, I will find a piece somewhere to cling to.
Thank you ♡
Hope you did. Always good to have something fun to look back on at the end of the day.
Lovely, Audrey.
Thank you, Shari.
A wonderful poem of thanks, hehe, and my fav’ line, “As I drift off to sleep”,
Giggle. Something has started here. Glad you like that line. It reminds me of a friend’s favorite song he once shared with me.
Thank you, Ivor
Haha, I like my sleep….. and often play my music in my bedroom to sleep by.
A good idea if it helps 🙂
This is beautiful, Audrey – and like John, I too love that line “I lay in quiet sheets”. So many layers….!
I’m thrilled you sense the layers, Betty. Means I’m connecting with y’all. It’s a good day.
I spend most of my time figuring out how to thank John for his loyalty. He’s a keeper and he gets me… like you do! ♡
Beautiful, Audrey. My favorite line “I lay in quiet sheets..”
Oh, John, thank you. That line carries some weight. Stuck out for me, as well. Funny how I surprise myself.
Surprises are the best. 😀
Absolutely they are. 🤓
