Storm

the rumble returns
I hear him behind dark clouds
smell of Spring, joy of new
the impatient hail, patient sun
felt between lightening strikes,
twisting, changing, my view
as the wind calls out,
remember me.
I’d offer my heart, each beat,
for a moment of truth,
where feeling the security
of love
at its rawest, keeps me
invested, sure and confidant.
don’t tell me, show me
and I’ll wear love
on my skin, in my hair and
within my eyes once again.

  1. This is wonderful and passionate Audrey. I especially love the ending about wearing love.
How are you btw? I’ve been so busy that just today I have been able to return to blog briefly. Working on a big event we’re having here for Good Friday. Painting a piece for it.
    Hope you are well.

    • Hi, Staci. Thank you…I loved writing this poem. The wearing love part is my favorite part, too. I’m doing well, thanks. Just keeping busy with work and the kids. The lenten season has been nuts on this end. Looking forward to next week. 🙂 I’d love to see what you’re doing.. my best to you and good luck!!!

–Tell me about it. Here too. We are organizing a Good Friday event and dinner here. We only started planning it last week, so it’s been all on since then here at our base. I was in charge of doing an art piece symbolizing Simon helping Jesus carry the cross. I will post it after. Tomorrow will be crazy busy definitely. I’m really looking forward to this event. Our dinner will have voice and guitar instead of the traditional worship music thing. I will be doing a couple of songs for that. Still have to rehearse with the guy that will be doing the guitar part for me. Hahaha. Eek!
Have a great rest of the Lenten season Audrey.
      🙂 ❤
