Wake Me, Winter

image

Focused on beauty
We must be, I believe
Caught in its trance
And frozen stature.
Naked to the eye
Of the beholder
Full of desire.
To allow fingertips
A pinch
Joining, pressed
As one
Flesh
And frosted branch.
To then
Release
Cold water
Epitomizes you.
Slowly seeping
Down
Waking life
Shivering inside me.

    • Hi, Staci!!! Welcome back to the world of blogging and to my erratic thoughts. πŸ™‚ I’ve missed you. Hope your visit with your mother went well and the move successful. Yes??

I’m well, thank you. Celebrated my birthday on Monday. Ugh. Another year older, oh joy. πŸ™‚ Naw. It was great. Dad’s chemo is over and we’re just waiting for blood results over the next month or so. He’s looking good and we’re hopeful. Praying a lot and knowing that his health is in God’s hands is a comfort.

So nice to see you about, my friend. Have a great weekend. πŸ™‚
