I’ve taught myself,
My eyes see each line.
Every intertwining part,
And how I wish they wouldn’t.
Definition in absolutes,
Best seen in piceous,
On a backdrop of gray.
When I look too far,
Spherical shapes calm me,
Hanging, swaying with ease.
Moments when I wish,
I approved of curves.
Yet, if I allowed,
You would insist.
Thumbs up, dear Audrey. π

i’ve always been wary (but not afraid) of the too close mirror and yet
it is essential to our knowing ourselves but then again a concentration
on small detail may cause us to miss the ‘big picture’ not only of ourselves
but of the worlds we inhabit.
Fine work, Audrey.
Big Hugs

The too close mirror I find far too comforting, and the step back to allow a better picture from someone else’s lead, entirely soothing, if only. That big picture means everything, jf.
Thanks for sorting this poem, Mr. Flanagan. Hugs, always.

approving of curves is a big step not to be taken lightly. Nice one.

Super, Audrey! And I’ve just got to know what kind of tree (or bush) this is??

Thanks, Debbie! Well, I can’t say for sure…any guesses?

Oooo…what’s it mean? I ask, of course, for your siblings benefit. I already know, I”m sure. Are they pumpkins in the tree?

Ahhh, basically, and in the simplest of terms, it means I’m far too controlled and need guidance, I think. Thanks for looking out for my siblings, Duke. *looks about* They’re never here. So you know, huh, Smarty Pants? No, rotton apples, maybe. (I have no idea what sort of pod it is and what it contains…seedlings, do you think?)

Well, time to loosen up. No more control, madam! How’s that? They’re aren’t, are they? They’re so wicked, your siblings… *laughing* (Possibly seedlings…or maybe a pumpkin!)

You just sound bossy… They are wicked. Wicked busy, I guess. Okay, quite small pumpkins. … *rolls her eyes*

Which one is the wickedest?

A tough call, as they are all wicked for different reasons. Big Brother has all my secrets, so he has me wrapped around his finger and I do things for him I should’t have to do. Middle doesn’t mince words, which keeps me in check. And Baby, uses her charm to guilt me into keeping her as my favorite. *laughs* Overall, I’m the wickedest because they miss me dearly which is my fault for leaving them, in turn they think of me all the time. *cheers* *winks*

*laughing* Now that’s a colorful circle of wickedness. But you the wickedest? And you’re always picking on me for just that. *says a bunch of dadblameits–in a row*

Now you see why I’m so wicked at times. I know, but I love to pick on you! No cursing, Duke! *laughs*
