Impossible to refuse
A quest such as yours
Monochrome tones, leading
Towards adventure
Be aware, out there
Colors ride the calm
Into serenity
If you don’t go
Imagine what you’ll be missing
Breaks my heart, too
This sounds like the perfect ode to sailors and explorers and their significant others over the centuries as they get ready to depart on another adventure ~ If you donโt go, Imagine what youโll be missing, Breaks my heart, too…” feelings that are involved in life more than I think we ever really know. ๐
Hi ๐ You made it….safely. Good. ๐ Thank you for popping by and relieving me a bit. Once again, you’re a world away. Be safe, Dalo. May your newest adventure bring you further down your path. China is surely breathing a sigh of contentment. And yes, I do believe a similar moment has been heard for centuries. The fact that my poetry brings romantic and fantastic odes, such as these timeless events, to your mind is humbling. If I ever, even for a minute, feel the pain of saying good-bye like they must have, may I also feel the same relief when the adventurer returns home. You are ever the romantic, Photographer. I’m content in knowing this poem was received well by you. My biggest fan. Enjoy your weekend, Mr. Collis. xx
That is a good point, good poetry does link itself to timeless events. ๐ Yes, in HK for at least today and then into the hinterlands of China tomorrow afternoon ~ it will be a good start to the New Year. Cheers to a great coming weekend.

Love those two lines, Audrey! They’re hopeful, encouraging, a bit teasing. We miss so much when we deny the pull of new adventures, right? By the way, were you on a boat to get this lovely angle?!
Thank you, Ma’am. ๐ I needed encouragement this morning. This poem is just as much for me as it is for everyone else. Sometimes it can be easier to keep on doin’ what we’re doin’. No sense in missing out on the fun life creates. Nope, not on a boat for this one. Just down low by the dock. ๐

Yes, water calls to you differently today, too, Aud. The low and wide channel pulls the words right out of you.

I think the people who live there and have their boats just tied about…they should go. Tis a pity they don’t. I would..

To an alternate reality. To a battlefield. I think that’s where I’d go. How about you?

I’d go further back, I think. To find a renaissance man.
