When I need to feel you,
My direction deviates.
Water slowly draws me in,
Almost hypnotic.
I succumb to the sounds,
Life soothingly plays.
Allowing the air to wisp on by,
Calmness and I wait.
Knowing you’re finally here,
Light mist covers my face.
“Just close your eyes and I’m with you…” Nothing like the sense of serene water to understand how deep & strong it can be. Enjoy your swim π

Yes, I’m left to ponder just how strong water can be, Dalo. To be swept away with just quiet musing thoughts of destiny. Thank you…you’re sending me there again with your words. Enjoy your day…:)

Audrey, there’s such sensitivity in this and, for me, a sense of longing,

John, I thank you for seeing this poem for what it is. You couldn’t be more right. Heart on my sleeve and all that nonsense.

Water slowly draws me in…that’s me favorite line, Audith! This has a dreamy feel to it.

Yeah, my favorite part too, because it’s true. I wonder why I gravitate to the water. Seems unlikely. Thank you, Duketh.

Well, you can swim. And I remember that journey you had on that raft…do you remember that?

Yes, tis true and you cannot. Yes, I remember that, Duke. A lot has changed since then, actually.

*laughing* That was an awesome set of stories… Yes…I suppose that’s true. How is everything, Audith?

I enjoyed writing that story. I just sent in my deposit for next July. Suppose I can pull my own raft this year? Odd how life changes, Duketh. Everything is different, but good.

Yes, you should be able to. Make sure to take Charlie. How’s your dad doing?

Of course, I will take Charlie. Suppose he can swim? I’ll need the help. Dad just finished this month’s chemo and is already feeling 10 years younger. His breathing due to thinning his blood out again is amazing. I may have to take him to the river with me this year. He’ll be a spry 65 year old by the end of this. Yay!

That is so awesome! I’m quite happy the sudden. Charlie? He’d drown.

I know… *sparkles like the moon* You are? Is it because of my news? Or did something really great just happen? Drown? But you told me to take him…

Because of your news!!! You’d have to keep him in a bucket.
