This Night

as our sun sets I reach for you
a hint please, if even this exists.
why would I question
your strength surrounds me
the wind becomes your touch
the geese flying behind me
speak the words I long to hear
yet, in a language
I cannot understand.
my eyes settle on tangerine hues
as my world settles in
for the night.
I sigh good evening, my love,
where have you been and where shall we go?

Willingly

Shy, her shield,
Sparkling eyes never quite reaching
Those who find her,
Bashful, worn with grace,
Her words now yours
May be timidly drawn,
For those who deserve,
But written upon the skin
With wanton fingertips
For those who capture
Her touch, heart, her mind
And recognize the tingle
She causes
And willingly provides

Autumn Springs Verse 6

image

Autumn Springs from Summer’s Flame,
Eternal Passage of Season’s Change,
Dance of Passion’s Lingering Game,
Viridian for Copper, Elemental Exchange.

Primordial instincts embrace epic hues,
Fantasy’s Utopia, view Wisps becoming Brides,
Delphian Fairwell Fairies mimic and muse,
Rousing Shadows and Lovers, crimsons collide.

Pageant of Nighttide, Shimmering Bright,
Secrets Whispered in Primeval Tones,
Gathering Luminous, Spectral Light,
Ethereal Queen Born from muttering crone.

Dauntless Coppice, pursuing nature’s virgin Sprite,
Baptized, Nocturnal King of Twilight’s Beasts,
Queen Dowager awaits Autumn’s marital rites,
Mystic humming, via Motley winds due East.

Dance upon the Darling Midnight,
Twirl amidst the Foliage Aflame,
King and Queen Bedecked in Mirth’s Light,
Escaping Summer’s Clasp, Ne’er to be the Same.

Brilliance sparkling over Celestial skies
Approval granted, Russet Harvest’s grace
Verdict trumpeted, Change of Seasons, shall advise
Regal first kiss, as accompanying Timbers embrace

This is the sixth verse, inspired by Morgan’s fifth verse in a week long Autumn, Halloween, seasonal change, Mystical, light and dark collaboration with Morgan, from http://booknvolume.com/ .

I am thrilled to be writing along side Morgan, as her inspirations capture me daily. One day I find her writing of a fantasy world I can’t even begin to dream of, but would love to visit, and then in the next breath she’s left me a longing mess. I adore her poetry and her heart.

Our verses are off the cuff and inspired by each other, isn’t that lovely?! The image above chosen by Morgan, and I think it is perfect. Please continue to join us this week, as we thrive on working with one another to bring you Autumn Springs.

Smiles

I woke up smiling today
Visions of dark clouds
Passing through the sky
Evaporating
Piece by piece
Back to before
Conception
What is left?
Smiles
Grace
Love
By all mankind
Encouraging words
Forever grateful
A pleasing life
May you have a plate full
Always
Smiling again at every turn
We’re all meant to be okay

Turning Point – May Show Vulnerability & Immaturity In Writer

“The scariest moment is always just before you start.” – Stephen King

I had to hand write an entire chapter the other day. Yes, an entire chapter, that’s what I said. It took me about seven hours and I have to say my hand cramped, a lot.

Tons. I am out of practice.

At one point, I had to physically straighten my finger due to it being stuck in a hook-like position. Then I had to hold my knee down, as it was shaking uncontrollably, because of the reaction to the discomfort I was feeling throughout my arm. I wrote the chapter out, because I had decided to work through the pain of my thoughts by creating pain somewhere else; or because our monitor suddenly went black and I didn’t know how to fix it so I took the pen to paper.
