I thought of you, Dan. About the time I hit step #8 out of #13 and realized I had put two important pieces in backwards back around step #2… the only positive was I was quicker at it the second time. I just couldn’t see the whole picture during step 2. Lol I could use a drink…many. Blue Moon with an orange slice, please. Or straight tequila.. π
Ugh, I feel your pain. I’m ALL thumbs when it comes to these DIY projects … and who hires the idiots who can’t draw proper pictures and can’t write good English?? On the other hand, Domer is a master at them, so I know they’re doable. Say, maybe I should farm him out to you for an hour or so?!!
Dome is welcome any time day or night. Just please don’t make me put another one of those together on my own. Ugh! *laughs* These instructions encouraged snacks. I had to laugh.
I know I’ve been remiss, my dear. Still love you, though. Got a new job at the library after the new job at Lowe’s and now the 24 hours all fill up too dang fast. I am always and forever in your corner, know that. Root, root, root for the Aud team. Go Red!
I too have been MIA in a lot of ways, Chum. Still love you. I’m so glad to hear you’re busy with work and life. It means you’re still pushing forward. That, my dear, is everything. I won’t be a stranger. Count on that, Sir. You’ve always been a great inspirational coach for this redhead. You’ve gone and made me blush. Thank you…
You got this! Piece of cake, or pie…. mmmmm pie sounds good right about now! I always buy my bookcases and stuff like that from Ikea, goes together easy peasy lemon squeezy lol and still standing after 20years! lol. You can do this, You are Builder, Hear You Roar! And swear! lol xox
IKEA is just too far now. However, I agree completely. And about the pie, too. Oh I did it alright…had to assemble twice. *roars* Learned my lesson the hard way. π
Yeah sometimes Pie can be a bit tough to chew so yes reassembly does happen from time to time. Been there done that three times before lol Stand up and wave that Shaky Fist! GRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!
Geez, thanks, Butch. Only had to put it together twice. During step 8 of 12 steps you could have heard my scream had the windows been open. Put two pieces on backwards… *ughs a lot*
Dear Audrey, Methodists build with teams of well-meaning volunteers. I, as an existentialist, do not build. I sit, watch, and wait for the pieces of the shelf to die. As Chaucer noted…maybe…We are al straungeres togethir, wanderinge:
On the roade, lat us telle storyes and laugh.
As the Small Groups Coordinator, I’m curious where you find your volunteers. π ππ
Hope there’s room on the watching paint dry group. Gonna be awhile before I build something else.
Chaucer…so funny!! Just what I needed today.
Oh it”s become typical to show the macho guy who acts like some person is defective for.not being able to follow “simple”instructions.
Connect piece AA to piece LL using (4) fasteners rr inserted into holes ZZ. sheeshπ
See?! That’s exactly what happened!!!! I followed every step exactly. However, they failed to say which way shelf A&B were supposed to be facing..and i, being the woman with my heads in the clouds, didn’t see the “finished product” after step 2. I cursed every AA, L, R&GG step as I disassembled myself back to the beginning. I’m so glad you relate! You make me laugh!
never mind the pretty picture
on the box it came in!
do it your own
way, girl π
