Slowly I approach your window, notice your smile
would have been here sooner, but so many miles
so please accept these Rocky Mountain rocks
overlook that I am soaked, from hat to socks
*goodnight*
You kept me waiting. I forgive you. I told myself you were just busy looking for the flashlight. Worried that I’d be left in the dark. π 32 seconds…what torture. Poor baby.
(I hope you don’t feel chained to this pattern you’ve started. You don’t have to be amazing every time you comment, but I do love it. So much. π )
Storms pass, as they all do
Wet dripping and puddling so
Leaving the greenest of hues
As I watch for you outside my window
You accept me just as I am, and show it time and time again. Thank you, always, jf. I cherish the insight you provide. You clarify my words beautifully.
Love & Hugs, Audrey
*giggles so much* That’s because I fetched it out before you got home. I wanted to be ready for anything. We should consider organizing that storage space of yours in our down time. π
Mmm-hmmm. We were at the beach in October about three years ago and there was an on-going storminess the entire weekend. I loved it. I walked the beach in the storm and it was awesome.
Your last poem should definitely have been called Calm. π

Would have posted this earlier, but had writer’s block. Longest 32 seconds of my life π
In shades of delight
she bid farewell to a storm
smiled brighter than any light
could ever form

Nice to have a light in the storm, especially when the power goes out! Storms can be powerful things — grab your doggie and a good book!!

Gotta have a light! And an open window to watch from, I think. Oscar hides under blankets. He’s no fun. Giggle.

I was safe. There is something about being out in the naked elements that is invigorating.
