Glad you could see her, Duke. My phone isn’t a proper camera, but I wanted to get her photo just the same. I’m calling her a her, Sir. She was a chatty little bird, which reminds me of a lot of my girl friends. I envy their ability to talk a lot. Seems the mockingbird had a lot to tell me, however, I don’t speak her language. So I can’t tell you what her response was to my questions on love. I didn’t get her name. What do you suppose it was?
Why do you want to know? Do you think you’ll have the answers? I might just tell you, you know. Careful, Duketh. I like well thought out answers. I bet you chatter on, huh? Not to me, but someone, for sure. Beatrice Mockingbird? Hmmm…
Oh my gosh, it was, Gus!! She latched on to me half way to the bird blind I was wondering towards and chatted my arm off. Just bouncing from one branch to the next. Even on my hikes I find a super chatty pal, so I don’t have to do any of the talking. It’s amazing how I do it, huh? I know…surprises me too sometimes. π Giggle.
Yes, it is a mockingbird! She followed me for quite a long time, too. I grabbed the best photo I could with my smartphone. I’m glad you can see her among all the branches. She peeped along, as if telling me a story. Too cute! Yeah, the Mockingbird is Texas’ state bird.
I enjoy them, too. I tend to worry I comment to frequently and then figure I should refrain. A nasty tug of war I put my mind through, but in all honesty, your poetry deserves more attention. You’re so good, and I want to tell you every time. You do make me laugh and you’ve made me blush. π
Your comments could never be too frequent, so put that tug of war to rest (although I will admit I tend to do the same thing with your poems). Always a pleasure to hear from you. π
Hi, Cinn. I love them, too. The ones in Houston are rather friendly, you know. This one just hobbled right along with me, as if trying to get my attention. Single chirps as if telling me a story. So stinkin’ cute. I began to wonder if she was hurt, as she hung around a long time. Then suddenly she was off…
Yeah, I identify with them. LOL They are fierce, yet loveable. π
Thanks for the chat. I enjoyed it.
The original twitter account, Aud. Love this one. π

What was the exact question you asked her? Yes, ladies tend to speak a lot…and that’s not a bad thing. Men do too–at times. A name…hmm…Beatrice!

Yes, you can tell me. Me? Chat on? Never.

I asked, if love showed up, would I recognize it, then I told her that I wanted to trust love again. That’s when she started following me. That’s all.

Is that a mockingbird?? We don’t have them here. I have to go south to enjoy them. They’re amazing birds, aren’t they? So full of LIFE!

I love mockingbirds. It cracks me up to watch them do a hawk call and see all the other birds freak out….
But they also do some pretty melodies π
