Wishing away a wistful feeling You are not an ethereal mirage Amongst crystal blue water You are a living, breathing you Similarities proven undeniable Exhaling into what could be Lead me and I’ll follow true
I really like this, it reminds me of what it takes to head out into an adventure…not quite sure what or who lies ahead, but just trusting it is the right thing to do. Words that I think always rests back in the minds of most everyone.
It has to be trust in faith & destiny, otherwise I think we’d all go crazy trying to figure out all the ‘whys’ and missing all the opportunities to create something nice. Just re-visited the poem, and enjoyed it even more.
You’re cursing, Duke! *laughs* Feeling a heartbeat can be a wonderful event, I hear. Especially one that beats quickly. Neater dead?? Really?! Tell me!
I am in love with wonder and it gets me into trouble all the time. I’m a terrible and hopeless romantic, Gus. Pathetically so… 😉 Thank you for commenting on my poetry. You make me smile.
Seems easier than the alternative, Gus. I find loving reality far too hard some days.
Aww, well, I’m thankful for your stories. Where have you been? I could use a story of yours to get lost in wonder over.
I’ve still been around. 🙂 Did you miss my story “Fireworks Kisses”? It came out on the Fourth (of courth). Thank you for asking, and for saying you get lost in wonder — now I’m blushing. Reactions like that make an author awfully proud. A couple more stories will come out this week, so hopefully you’ll get lost in those, too.
No, I read that one. Loved it. (Of courth.. *giggle*) Well I wouldn’t say it if it wasn’t true. A couple of blushing fools. I look forward to reading them, Gus.
Well…those two look fairly happy following one another. T’is easy to wish to have the same opportunity, dear. Hunting season…these are small town ducks. They stay local. 🙂

It takes courage, Dalo. Trust in fate, I think. Faith that we land where we’re suppose to land. *sigh* Glad you enjoyed this poem. xx

But isn’t it odd too? I mean feeling a heart beat…it could just stop!

It could…but it usually won’t. When it does it was meant to be, I think.

That’s a good point. Can’t fight with that. See? You won.

Wonderful that you were inspired to write a poem about these two following each other — sounds to me like a poet in love with the wonders. 🙂

*curtsy* Thank you, my dear. 🙂 I can’t take all the credit. Those ducks were jabbering a lot. They may have had this written before I walked away. 😉

Ask a duck if it remembers Ronald Reagan. If it does, there’s your answer.

No, I fear not.

What a strange answer? That implies you’d rather be one. It’s not good during hunting season.
