The last few years
Like a dream
I love that when you’re with me,
You say yes,
Remember our first movie
You wore your boots
John Wayne, Ha!
We didn’t have a clue
I kissed you
When you opted
To shield my eyes
That cowboy’s demise
A powerful man,
Was suddenly mine
Our walk in the rain
No umbrella in sight
You made jokes about
I flashed mine
And taunted you,
Licked my lips
I saw your eyes
For backing me up
Against that tree
You told me,
It wasn’t easy taking risks
I silenced you with my kiss
Ran my hands through your hair
Pleaded with you
To take me
You said no
Much to consider
Not that night, but another
Do you remember
I’m glad we waited
It helped, you know
Taking it slow
The music you chose
Baby, that’s you
Your skin continues to radiate
Keeps my skin tingling
This life we’re leading
Thank you for choosing me
Collaboration done with Nitin at ofnewdawns.wordpress.com This is the female’s version of a story between two people in love. To read the man’s perspective, please visit Nitin’s blog.
I enjoy Nitin’s poetry, immensely. He provides a raw, thoughtful and powerful image no matter the subject. Check his poem out and say hello. Thank you, Nitin. This was the most fun!

This was really well done. But I do wonder why they didn’t play with swords.
Thank you, Duketh. Well, that would be because you haven’t given me any lessons.
That’s because it could be maybe too dangerous for ladies!
That is just your excuse for not thinking I could do it.
A sword fight would have fit nicely in this poem, huh?
Yes! Will you do another one?
With Nitin? I don’t know, if he asks, I will. I enjoy writing with other creative people, but you know that already, don’t you? We had fun writing together. OR are you asking me to write one with a sword fight?
We had great fun, for sure! Well, yes…I think I am… *hides*
Yes, we did!! By myself or with you? *comes looking for you*
Together! *sitting behind a couch*
I’d love that, Duke! *sits with you* You just made my day.
*smiles bigly* Now mine’s made too!
*waits to see what he’ll decide to do next*
*dimples begin to shine*
The sun must be shining on them. *hands Audith a can of silly string*
It is and I like that very much. *sprays it on your head*
I was hoping you’d do that! I love the stuff.
Me too, but you get to clean it up when we’re done! *laughs*
Shouldn’t it fall off eventually?
Well, that depends. Are you just going to sit here? Then, no. I believe movement is required, Duke.
*laughing* Of course!
Well, that’s good. Have you learned how to sweep yet, Duke?
Duke…I’m not cleaning for you again. My costume is at the cleaners.
Uniform? But do maids still wear those??
I really don’t know!
This was excellent. really felt it.
Thanks! I’m thrilled it turned out well. It was fun!
The collaboration brought out wonderful things, Audrey.
Thank you, Mark. Glad you enjoyed it. It was a nice change to write with someone. Nitin was easy to work with.
Very good indeed
Hey, Sleepy! Thank you.
Oy!!! I’m up and very much about. You should be asleep. 🙂
I know, I should be… I’m almost 24 hours up. Just look at me. I’m left to sing myself to sleep. Good night, Richard.
Do you mind running for me? Not sure I can get up in 4 hours to do it. 😉
I ready have that’s why you should be tired.
That’s why my knee hurts…why do you insist on that speed uphill. Dang it!
Sorry, I’m like the Flash even to the one-piece red Lycra suit.
YIKES! You’re so blurry, too. I’m never running with you. Like an acid trip, not that I’d know.
🙂 you might if you don’t go to sleep!!!
😛 I’m going…!!! Write well…
Good night, Richard.
A collaboration yielding great results. Very romantic.
Hey! You’re up late! Yes, it turned out nicely. Did you like the t-shirt mention? 🙂 He asked me earlier today if I’d like to write something together. Had it done in a matter of minutes, really. Have you ever written with anyone, Michael?
I had no idea a T-shirt (wet or otherwise) was even mentioned 😉 That’s my story and…
No, I have not written with anyone. I entertained the idea when I learned about the Renga form. I believe that is written by a group of poets, unsure.Mostly, poems come to me, some I complete in minutes, some I tweak for hours before publishing on my blog. Then I am not too proud to go back and change them if I feel the need.
I am up early, as always. 🙂
Darn. I was hoping you’d have caught that…
I see. It’s fun. Many ways to do it, and to achieve the proper result. Nitin and I had ours done in a matter of a few minutes an hour or so ago. I didn’t edit but a couple of words. It probably shows.
It reads fine, and I enjoyed it. Please let Nitin know, he has comments turned off on his blog.
I will try it sometime when I feel a little more in control of my writing. My poems have a mind of their own.
He looks to have been pinging my blog. They will probably be back up soon.
When you do, come to me. I’ll write with you anytime. I don’t spend a lot of time on my poems. I write poetry to release a lot of emotion I have left over from other writings. I am as off the cuff as they come. It shows and I’m sure I’m embarressing real poets daily.
I will, and OH-PUH-LEEZE! Your writing is wonderful. Get some sleep my friend. Peace.
PFFT! Good night, Michael.
Good morning for me, but you too Auudie.
Good Morning, Miguel.
