With eyes locked
And my heart open wide
I promise to you
All that I am, will ever be
Admitting honestly
Whatever this is
I cherish our road, completely
***Let me apologize for the cheese factor in this poem for those who may be skeptical of finding love. I know it sounds like a five and dime wedding vow to some, but it just came pouring out of me 5 minutes ago. After reflecting over the words, my heart knows best, so I will share the poem in hopes that it brings a smile. For me, the only path worth walking is towards love in any form, but most importantly the one you’re craving, always.
This is beautiful, and we finally get to see the real Audrey Dawn π
The greatest thing in any relationship is to realize “Whatever this is, I cherish our road, completely”
Very, very cool π

*hides her eyes* Stop… π I couldn’t agree more, Dalo. I can’t even pretend to be confident in my reply. I can only say, thank you. I think you’re cool. π

I think the Texan Cool Dawn has a monopoly on cool π Beautiful, soulful work ~ and we can see more of it as you’ve now shown this side of your talent ~

You’re just buttering me up, Randall. I’m on to you… π The problem with seeing more of this side of me is I will be written off as another writer for Hallmark, which is a fine company don’t get me wrong, but I feel like a bit of a clichΓ© when I open myself up to this sort of expression. After rereading what I wrote I sound like a cynic on the subject of love, but I don’t feel that way. I think I’m just extremely bashful about showing more than just words…I know when I sound robotic and when I don’t with my own poetry…you’ve proven to see through it, as well, Cowboy.

Hey you, if this is cheese then it must be a fine french cheese, like a Camembert, Brie de Meaux or a Roquefort. The kind to be savored and tasted with a nice glass of red. Let’s make it French as well. How about a Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot (these are french wines, right)?
You silly girl Audrey. This isn’t just any old cheese. It’s lovely.

You’re far too sweet, Staci. I do like your cheese and wine suggestions, but I have to tell you I’m more of an avacado and tequlia or beer and pretzel girl. Giggle. Thanks for being so kind… xx You’re very sweet. π

Now, if you wrote this poem on a greeting card with a big, curvy font and decorated it with a bunch of flowers, then you’d be bringing the cheese. But I like the message of the poem, and it’s not cheesy to pour out words from the heart.

I could arrange it, and adding your suggestions would seal the deal, Gus. Smiles. Thank you. I will do my best to remember. Glad to know mushy is okay from time to time.

You know, I have a VERY good cheese detector (I actually refer to it as my “corn-o-meter” or ‘corniness meter’). All that to say, I’m not getting a reading on this post at all–your poem has passed through no easy test!

Hi, Kyle! Wow, so my poem passed the elusive cheese test? What a relief. Aww. You’re so kind to speak up and reassure me. You’re very witty. I like that. Thanks for the smile.

Hey, I love cheese. *munches on some Gouda*
Oh… that cheese. *puts Gouda back in fridge* I mean, you’ve written this quite well; it’s your unique take on the idea. If it just came pouring out of you, then there’s a reason. Your heart certainly does know best. π

Luke! I want some Gouda…*holds her hand out* Tis a favorite of mine, actually. You’re such a goofball. ..but I enjoy you making me laugh! You often surprise me by your wisdom. Very kind of you and not necessary… Are you talking me off a ledge? π Thank you!

*retrieves Gouda again* π I know I’m a goofball sometimes… but I know you don’t mind too much. Well, thank you for the compliment. π A ledge?

Thanks! *takes a bit* I don’t mind a bit. I like when you make me laugh. The old saying…talk off a ledge. I was feeling a little out of sorts over that poem. You made me laugh and forget all about it. Very kind.

I thought it was a great poem. And quite nice. But it doesn’t apply to the professor, since I’m heartless, you know. *maybe laughs*

I’m sorry. I didn’t see it that way, but I should of… Its obvious that I was apologizing, but at the time it seemed as if I was clarifying. Either way, Aud’s a mess, Chum. Thanks for shakin’ me a little. β‘
