Feathered Dismissal

image

Each tear, feathered away,
asked not to stay.
Stained streaks of genuine pain,
across this confused face.
Knowing that I’ve cried over you,
another ugly mistake.
Missing you each and every day,
Not a lady does that make…

  1. A poet you are, and like the great ones (yes, time for blushing again) ~ the pain and emotion you share make us mortals wish we could create such feelings you create from your words, yet conversely relieved as to not have to revel in such continual sorrow πŸ™‚ Beautiful and emotional poetry Audrey, ~ love the first verse!

    • You do make me blush many shades, dear Dalo. I do like the way you flirt, Sir. I am a mortal, you know. πŸ˜‰ Wow. If you could see how red you’ve made me. I work my butt off to jump in and out of that continual sorrow, I’ll have you know. When I began this blog I thought I’d write a bunch of comedy and make people laugh. Life throws a curve and the next thing I know I’m writing poetry. Sad, longing, loving, and confusing poetry that sometimes I don’t even understand. It is a weird place to be…this mind of mine. Thank you, Dalo. You are so sweet. I am just a humble lady who found a place to write. You are a welcomed surprise. That first verse…lightly brushing those tears away. Thank you.

    • Ha, ha…immortals do not blush, can’t fool me πŸ™‚ Let’s see, from beginning thoughts of writing comedy & humor, you end up writing achingly, love-grief stricken poems ~ yes, life does indeed have some interesting & unsuspecting paths along the way. Very good you found your voice, though πŸ™‚
