Longing souls are birthed Usually, through deep desires Found, living behind a sad heart Exhausted, from waiting too long Normally, for what could never be
I often think the purpose of art is to give us glimpses of our inner truths. You have done so here. This couldn’t be any more true and it is perfectly expressed and beautifully written.
Thank you for reassuring me, Monsieur. A simple smile doesn’t seem enough to show how happy I am to read your words tonight. This poem was hard to write.
Now that is a perfect blending of longing and sadness 🙂 An apt description of the love we find and experience through life… Not a bad thing, as those memories, experience and dreams keep up striving for more. Enjoy your weekend, tequila in hand!
Hey! You caught me again, Dalo. I was just daydreaming about water and you show up. Ha. Surprised? I’m not.
I’m glad you saw this poem. You explain the two so well and sort my thoughts perfectly every time. I will enjoy my weekend…you do the same. Tequila? You know this woman well. 😉 I’ll match you shot for shot while we discuss fate and destiny.
Thank you, Duketh. Thought I should do some clarifying last night. You know, remind myself mostly. Yes, I do know, but I think we should get to choose what we end up missing out on.
Beautiful, beautiful poetry… You know I love “poetic truths…”

The line between long and too long, Aud, is for the poet to cross. Nice.

Oh Audrey, this is so true. Sad really. Sometimes I call it “pipe dreams”.

That sounds like a great plan ~ fate and destiny discussion may need a few bottles to help with the understanding, but I doubt that will be problem 🙂

Don’t try to scare me with the mentioning of numerous bottles, Dalo. Won’t work! 😉

Perfect! That sums it up perfectly, I think. But…everyone has a deep desire that can’t be fulfilled in this life, you know.

Do you play that game, Sir? I don’t understand it at all…

I’ve played in the past. *laughs* I don’t either! It’s just fast moving…in a way. I mean, when I get the frisbee, I want to run!

I’m impressed that you’ve tried playing. You want to run everywhere. You like to show off your speed, I think. *laughing*
