Spirit flying near me
My muse
What are you asking of me
Courage
Believability
Authenticity
A face I cannot see
Has created
Stunning poetry
Spirit
I sense you
Pushing to leave
Even flee
Tell me
Give me
The words
I need
To make you
Stay
I can beg
Don’t leave me
Effortlessly
Promising
I’ll be good
My need
Nothing
Pitiful
Really
Craving to be near
love love love love love this one Audrey!

If it hadn’t been for AB, and his guidance, I wouldn’t have released the emotion I needed to share. So glad you love this, Poetess. It’s and OLD one!

Im Glad as well π AB..Alton Brown? π (lol sorry, it was the first name that popped into my head!) I was meandering your blog and so glad I was because I found this gem. You should re-post it π

I’ve never reposted anything I’ve written. I don’t consider it, probably because WHO NEEDS TO READ THIS AGAIN!!?!?! LOL

Oh, I beg to differ. This is lovely. the honesty of this piece is gripping and who knows who it may reach/touch? I repost, and often it gives me an change to tweak the original a bit. Its interesting to see how my thoughts about the poem have changed, or how my mood has shifted since I wrote it.

Oh dear. Audrey, this is great. I have been away and this is the first thing I read by you in so long? The words–they speak. They say what I have been going through. Wow! Take care – Amy π

Thanks, Amy. I’ve missed hearing from you. Hope all is well. Then these words were meant for you, as they are a bit foreign to me in spots. Phew! So glad you caught them!!!

I’ve seen many PlayLand’s disappear. Yet even when they do, many kids still seem to love Mickie Dee’s just the same.

Yes. Why? You really seem to catch when I feel a bit off. I don’t know how you do that, Duke. It can be a bit unnerving and very sweet. What makes your question so funny and ironic is that I just wrote a poem about not asking me how I am…Now the poem would make the professor blush, but it is intended to be funny, as I’m not much of a chit chat kind of girl. I should post it just so you believe me. (I am really okay. Okay?)

Well, the professor can see into the words, I guess. I know! I just saw the poem and I was like, “Woops. That’s just what I asked last night!” Goodness me. It was a funny poem and vicious. Which I like. I really enjoyed the reoccurring line. I should’ve said that over there. (I believe you! I won’t ask if you’d prefer me not too, in the future…)
