Words
Billions and Billions go unsaid
Touch
Billions and Billions pulled back
Kiss
Billions and Billions turned aside
What we’d have if we just accepted
A constant surge of wants and needs
Take them, please
Fight with me about adversities
I’ll take what I can get
This silence is killing me
Many times we walk away having not said what needed to be said. You captured this feeling so well.

Thank you, John. It’s the waiting around to fix the silence that moves me. Not sure it’s a healthy place to be for long but this poem is what comes out of those situations. It’s probably self induced. π Which after writing this gives me a thought…thank you.

Great verse. What is it we could do to start accepting and appreciating that silence within us? What is it we could do to unearth the great wisdom that resides within that silence?

Shakti,
Thank you for the comment. I’m so glad the verse resonated with you.
Both of your questions seem to be the battle inside of me. I love allowing the silence to move me. I also loathe the silence when it is holding back what I desire.

Impotent frustration cascades from this tortured voice screaming to go with the flow as it meets a dam of silence. Very well done.

Thank you for the follow, Mike. You’ve proven me a bit shy to have mentioned how impressed I am with your work. I like what I read, very much.

I love it! Relationships and interaction with others..sometimes I want it and sometimes I don’t. I have too many screaming people in my head so I never have silence–I wish. Sometimes I wonder if any of us are going in the same direction. I think I am headed one way and everyone else another. – A π

I agree, it can be. I do love silence, as well. I’m extremely guilty of fighting with silence. Posssibly allowing silence to do all the talking, too. Its a love to hate relationship I have with it.

It’s unnerving when it’s there, but you miss it when it’s gone. Guess it’s all about balance.
