Begging to be plucked
Loves me, he loves me not
While we’re here
I’ll give it a shot
But before I start
I’ve stopped
Petals remind me of him
A bit too much, a lot
Instead, I lay down
And wish away my want

Lead…
Can’t you,
please?
I ask, however,
Begging, it seems.
Capture, my essence,
And tell them,
For me.
Express my need,
Rooted inside,
Verdant grounding.
You must show,
How going without,
suffocates.
Robs me,
Of who I am.
My Muse,
Only you know.
This trail of wildflowers,
Varied, yet pristine,
And full of desire,
Leads…
I’m left here,
muted.
So It Seems
Wild
King
Escaping
Multiple ways
Peaking through
A protective sheath
Darting into bloom
Look at me
Assuming his crown
Sauntering and taunting with the wind
Swaying as he anticipates
The sun’s kiss
Smothered in hues of blue
Rooted in purple
The color of Kings
Surveying his empire
Tip glowing
Surrounded in white
Empowered wildflower
Standing at attention
Waiting to be devoured
