Darkness,
You’re here,
Requested to stay.
Cover me completely,
Or simply go away.
Grumble
Snap
Lightning
Flash
Light becomes a,
Fleeting sorcerer,
Alchemistic owner of the sky.
Uncover my cimmerian shades,
Or leave me here this way.
Flourishing hearts
Sat among themselves
Learning from one another
How to go and serve others well

Try to remember to be kind to one another today. Serve those around you out of love and respect. Allow love to spread to those who need to feel it the most. May love change their heart. By doing this I pray we teach the world how to coexist.
Growing
Whether intended or not
Pieces lost in battle
She’s found here
Among life’s surplus matter
She continues to twirl
Assimilating to her station
Rock and debris
Fragments
All suit her, strangely
Her beauty appealing
Red and yellow colors shine through
Hues of her personality
This known to be true
Comforted in troubled surroundings
Her artistry finds significance in rubble
See her petals
Call her, Firewheel
A Southwest Señorita
Preferring it hot
Shining inauspiciously in this spot
I try to write
Yet, nothing comes
Too much uncertainty
Consumes my thinking
I’m left with nothing to feel
Come to me, my muse
You know what to do
I’ve nothing to give
Living in darkness
However, it all runs through me
Their pain
His fear
Her joy
Your love
My desire
I’ve nothing left to offer
Come get me
Make them all go away
Allow me to lose myself in you

Longing for my heart’s home
Keeps me peaceful
Centered
A calm destination
My weakened mind’s petition
Striving place for final clarity
A soft place to fall into actualities
Rocky Mountains of supreme force,
Continue to remind.
They never grow taller sadly,
Forever crumble slow.
This I know
Pushing to defy reality;
Show me taller and stronger,
With more reserve.
Rivers flow, a one way road;
Beautiful rivers babble,
Find peace in those.
My river rages far into forever,
Defines devotion
Peaceful dreams
Hear my call for you
Powerful sequences
Devour my senses
Take care in what you do
Rob me of my defenses
You know I need you
Wake me at conclusion
I love you
We were all in the river and our gear was in tow. We had our river shoes on and favorite cups in hand. The tube with the cooler was attached to my husband’s inner tube, because he’d offered to take on that responsibility, thinking that’s all he’d have to keep up with today.
I mean, how hard was it going to be? The most trouble he was going to have, was making consistent throws as he tossed up a fresh beverage and located the empties into the yellow mesh bag, which dangled from the side of his tube. Yes that’s right we were recycling, too.
It just so happens that the birds were singing. The sun was out and the river water was moving. It was going to be a beautiful day for tubing. We were doing our duty. We were prepared. We were off for some Texas Frio fun.
We all joked with the friends we were leaving behind, as they set up the chairs in our normal spot. It provided a beautiful view of the river and a scenic view of the cabin. It also offered the perfect position to watch the children go to and fro. We decided those staying behind were going to miss out on a lot of laughter. They had determined that we were going to end up wishing we had stayed put. Staying meant getting to be just a few yards from the AC and access to a deep swimming hole, which the others thought seemed logical. A no brainer.
What did they know?
So, I’d been given a final offer to listen to the smart people. The Holy Spirit had whispered in my ear…”Stay, Aud. You’ll wish you had.”
I’d decided to ignore Him, sealed my fate right there didn’t I? 😉 Continue reading
