Nestled

Posted on March 25, 2024 by Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister

Walking along neighborhoods,
nestled deeply into images of city life,
I found softness, and vibrancy.
Murmured pastels, somehow unafraid to show themselves,
and wide open.
Droves of minds walk right past their gumption.
Faces stuck to their iPhone.
My soul wept.

Brave Face

breath, fact of the living
our exhale, evidence of continuing
tears acknowledge loss, possibly
smile supports prosperity
brave face endures them all

Your Attendee

Walk with me here,
Allow the earth,
To calmly soothe,
You address,
And I’ll attend.
Like a breeze,
Sliding through,
Inestimable prairie,
I’ll surround you,
My Love.
Daily storm brewing,
Commanding attention,
You be the strength,
I’ll be me, listening.
