Waking

Most fragrant as the sun wakes her,
gently the rays stir her soul.
Feeling proof of a strong presence,
dew, his markings, she’s told.
Accepting nourishment to blossom,
she, quite often, in his control.
Arching into each spectacular layer,
while feeling his touch, she’ll glow.

Fluttering of Butterflies

Posted on April 13, 2015 by Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister

If I linger here too long
Allow these yellow beauties
To continue as the butterflies, I see
Multiple and delicate ailerons
Upon my freckled face, fluttering
I’ll end up rolling through them all
Waiting for you to join me

As my morning shifts into view
I breathe in nature’s cue
Submitting to what my mind pursues
All wrapped up in a foggy dew
Of powder puff blue
With you

Mind spreading like wildflowers
Running free, catch me
