Belonging

Conquering wasn’t the plan.
as plain as it sounds,
I wanted to belong
be along side,
your missing link
searched for
found
and shown
where I was needed.
Sustainable, desired
an intricate detail,
in view
precious,
in the forever story.
One shouldn’t go
where one isn’t
planned for,
intended
or thought of

What I Would Have Shown You

  1. ANOTHER ANOTHER

    Reaching out for …
    … no response
    Left in limbo
    Hung out to dry

    Fed on assumptions
    Clutching at straws
    Mighty thin gruel
    Sans nourishment

    The best? … Insufficient
While not at all sure of
    Understanding the rules
    (A longstanding habit)

    A kindly silver lining
    When the smoke clears
    When the pain has dulled
    A poem lurking in there

I don’t think I’ve shared this with you before, but if this is a duplicate then I apologise. I seems an appropriate response/comment. Writing these experiences out can be healing. 💜💜

  2. Poetess, methinks you’re selling yourself short by merely wanting to be “along side,” someone’s “missing link.” I wish you could see yourself as those of us who appreciate you do!!
