I’m in love with being in love.
There’s nothing I have visioned for myself that excites me more.

I hear laughter
Eye squints as their sparkle escapes
I feel that upon my face.

Silly grins
Dimples no longer hidden within
The true marking of contentment
And its offer of grace.

The best of friends welcoming
Challenges – happy endings -frustrations.
Holding hands, connecting spirits
Building a firm foundation.

Take me there, widen the span of
Love’s true existence
Birth the eve of beginnings
And wrap me in the arms of the one
Who needs me.

  2. Ever seen a cat chase a red laser dot? I feel like I may resemble something quite similar these days. Chasing love is for the birds. Sitting in hopes of pouncing sounds way more fun!

      Good to see you still around, and I suppose good for me to show up every now and then too! Fumbling away at life, and I would not want it any other way. Part of the fun of it all ~ chasing love (and red laser dots) is exhausting but in the end it is worth it. You either gain love or experience, so no matter what you come out ahead (yes, I am a hopeless optimist). Cheers to you ~

There’s nothing I have visioned for myself that excites me more.” For something as elusive and full of emotions, there is also the real sense of a ‘foundation’ that love gives and the world is just waiting for all the goodness it brings. Not a bad way to wake up in the morning, even if it is only to chase such a feeling in hopes of finding it 🙂 Cheers to a wonderful weekend and a year filled with such belief ~ great reading you again!
