Summer is flying by, but I never mind as I can’t deal with the heat or the sun. Still, it’s been exceptionally delightful this year with my certain someONE around β€ π
A sadness in here, peering at the past and how it affects our view of the future. Your poem makes me wonder how much is transparent in the world out there. And I really like this photo, how the windmill mirrors the sun.
Gus, you’ve honored me. Thank you for reading me. I appreciate you remembering where I’ve come from…
I wonder, too. I’m not sure transparency is as important to others as it is and will be for me in the future.
Glad you liked the photo. You’re one in a million, Sir.
Windmills have been a favorite structure of mine my entire life. Must be the Midwestern in me. Thundering as I write this. May have rain tonight. Fingers crossed. Thanks, Debbie
She will. Takes time, but She will π Lovely though, as many of us have had this same experience.

Morgan, I’m thrilled to see you here. I hope your summer is going well. Vacation has made me a bit absent as of late.
Yes, I guess knowing others have been here made it a but easier to share such an intimate thought. Thank you, my friend.

WHEN IN DOUBT
Transparency indubitably ideal
Must be a both ways offering
Though … So we inch forward
Full of such lack of confidence
Guardedly trading confidences
And reactions … Testing, testing
Are you receiving me? … Over
The night sky pales around us
Chink by chink the curtains open
To reveal … only a tinted window
Opaque … and that’s all she wrote

As the Germans at my old employer say, “trust is fine, control is better.” Nice poem though.

I’ve always found windmills interesting, and this one’s a beauty. Looks like you’ve had some of the same types of clouds we have, Poetess.
