Singular, posed alone
Verdant stem slim, yet
Rooted beneath in
Survival’s growth,
She clings to her truth,
Unafraid of the world above.
May her amber blossom,
Bright, oh so exposed,
Give the eye of her beholder
Pause
Before they walk on
I’ve written quite a few and plan to write many more. I do adore revealing myself in this way, Sir. (So much more.)
Mr. Cake, thank you for reading me.
I trust you’re taking good care of yourself with hopes of being on the mend. Sounds like a long sleep is a must. I’m well. I’ve been super busy, however, that has come to an end for the foreseeable future. I’ve used this afternoon to relax a little.
I believe I’ve mentioned this before, but for whatever reason….you bring the formalities out in my personality. I can’t quite get a handle on it, you know.
Oh, it probably is your allergies. I know my being in a forest for the last few days has had mine all flared up, but …neither of us can stay away from what we love, right? I wish I could tend to you so you’re up and going again in a flash. It’s horrible being sick. 💚
Yes, this is indeed where my thoughts were roaming. Even, maybe where we linger too long and allowed for another or right moment to pass us by. Lost in thinking about serendipity. Thank you for reading, Shari.
I am grateful you appeared at my wayside to be appreciated.

So elegant and with so much going on between the lines (I think anyway) I am captivated by your minimal flower poems.

I have been quite poorly (that is English for being under the weather) and I was working as well. Trust you are fine.

I feel like we are in a Jane Austen novel sometimes. But I do find it quite endearing.

Jane Austen…I actually feel very much the same way. And I’ve found myself pondering why. Endearing. A kind way of expressing… a cuteness.

But wouldn’t that be a disservice

I’m starting to think that my manflu may be allergies. Working all weekend in the garden would surely explain how I’m feeling if that were the case!

This is lovely – it reminds me of all the moments when I’ve stopped to take note of something special – and of all the times I sadly did not.
